Screening
We do a thorough interview with candidates. We search for the nannies who believe in going above and beyond. We want to find the nannies with exceptional values and ideas. We look for different lifestyles that would match our families, such as the same care and concern over religion, covid, free time, education and consequences etc. we only include the nannies that have a proven track record of excellence. We like to run extensive background checks and ask the references the tough questions so that we can get to know these nannies and their true skills and ideas!
We start with reviewing the applications.
- We then do a short phone interview to make sure the main things match our families.
- Then we conduct a face-to-face interview either in person or online. This helps us to learn more about our nanny, and things such as English proficiency, and grooming etiquette. We ask lots of questions to see how a nanny would handle an array of situations that could possibly come up.
- We do a thorough reference check, asking detailed questions about the candidate.
- Then we do a social media search to make sure a nanny is just how they appear.
- Finally, we ensure that each nanny is CPR and First Aid certified before employment.
- Elite Nannies mainly looks to hire career nannies, those looking for full time 40 plus hours weekly. We also hold a few part time openings for those families needing a few less hours of care. Generally our nannies and families want at least a one year commitment (If you are looking for a shorter time period, please let us know and we will find the right candidate) Since we only hire the nannies with the highest of skills and background, these nannies generally make between $25 to 40 plus, depending upon experience. Some of the other normal benefits are 2 weeks of paid vacation, Guraranteed hours, paid sick time, paid holidays and a healthcare stipend. Also we have great candidates for house managers and infant care specialists.
- Elite Nannies fee starts with a non-refundable $250 deposit. This covers the search and interview process inlcuding background checks. The final fee is based on 10% of a nanny’s annual gross income.
These fees cover:
- Interviews by phone, via computer or in person.
- A detailed job posting to find the perfect candidate to meet your families’ unique needs.
- Timely support in every step of the hiring process.
- In depth background, and reference checks
- Driving record report, if required.
- In depth employment agreement, satisfactory to both sides
- Copies of CPR/first aid certificates
- Candidate replacement, if needed within 90 days
- Continued support, if questions may arise.
*If specialty searches are required additional fees may be added.

I have a true love for children and a knack for matching amazing families with fabulous nannies.
My history includes many years of management, but later I transitioned into my true calling, caring for children. I have been a nanny for over 15 years including nanny shares for years. I have had an in-home daycare. I have also taken a number of early childhood education classes. These numerous experiences enable me to have a tremendous understanding of the needs of happy families and nannies alike…I believe that raising our next generation of children is one of the most important jobs in the world, and I take my work very seriously. I am the in-between person, I am the one who wants the family and the nanny to be happy.
